Privacy Policy

SouAR exists to protect memories, not to exploit them. Your photos and videos are among the most personal things you own — this page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the control you keep.
What we collect
Memories: the photos and videos you (or the business serving you) upload to create an AR experience. These are the heart of our service and are treated as private personal content.
Account details: for business/creator accounts only — name, email, business name, and a securely hashed password. People who scan magnets never need an account, and we collect no personal details from them.
Usage data: when a magnet is scanned we record that a view happened, the date, and a general device type (e.g. "iPhone browser"). This powers your view counter and analytics. We do not track who scanned or where they were.
What we do with it
We use your photos and videos for exactly one purpose: delivering the AR experience you created. We do not sell, license, analyze for advertising, or share your memories with anyone.
Your content is only viewable by someone physically pointing a camera at your printed magnet or opening your private QR link. Memories are never listed publicly, never searchable, and never used to promote SouAR without your explicit written permission.
Where it lives and how it's protected
Your content is stored on servers in the European Union (Germany/Finland), protected by encryption in transit (HTTPS everywhere), hashed passwords, and access controls that isolate every workspace from every other.
Payment for subscriptions is currently arranged directly with SouAR (e.g. via Whish or bank transfer); we do not store card numbers on our servers.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you, correct, or permanently delete any content or account information we hold about you. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days, including from backups on their normal rotation.
If a photo of you appears in someone else's memory and you want it removed, contact us — we take these requests seriously and will work with the account owner to resolve them promptly.
Cookies
We use a single, strictly necessary session cookie so creators stay signed in to the dashboard. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics scripts following you around the web.
Children
Family photos often include children — that's the nature of memories. The adult who orders the product is responsible for having the right to share the content they upload. We never use content involving minors for anything beyond delivering the private AR experience.
